Founder and CEO, Blue Zone Wealth Advisors
When Judith Lu moved to Spain after college to study Flamenco dance, she didn’t imagine that within a few years she would earn an international MBA and become a wealth manager in Latin America and Europe.
Deciding to leave Europe after the birth of her daughter, Ms. Lu returned to the U.S. and started over, reestablishing herself professionally. She recently launched her own firm, Blue Zone Wealth Advisors, after spending about six years as a partner and adviser at Miracle Mile Advisors.
Not afraid to reinvent herself, Ms. Lu credits her parents, immigrants from Taiwan, with developing her self-confidence.
“They raised me to be self-reliant and empowered me by trusting me to make good decisions — something I took very seriously,” she said.
Passing along that empowerment mindset to her clients, she focuses on educating them on financial basics.
“No one ever wants to admit they don’t understand what’s going on.” she said. “But surprisingly, even the most successful, high-powered people still need to learn the fundamentals of investing.”
