Head of advice and solutions, RBC Wealth Management — U.S.

“Success is setting a stretch goal and achieving it in partnership with a team.”

Working as an internal auditor at a predecessor firm of RBC Wealth Management in the mid-90s, Ann Senne discovered the fee-based business, “fell in love with it,” and wanted to help it grow. She moved into product management and eventually became responsible for all fee-based programs at the firm, helping to drive the adoption of holistic, goals-based advice. For the past four years, Senne has led a team of 200 professionals who design and deliver solutions involving products, practice development and the wealth planning experience to make advisers even more central in their client’s lives.

Defining leadership as empowering teams to do great things, Senne is a member of the board of WithAll, a Minneapolis nonprofit that focuses on eating disorders, and served five years on the board of Tubman, a nonprofit helping those dealing with relationship violence and other trauma. What to watch for in 2021: new virtual ways to enhance the client experience.
