Sylvia Guinan

First vice president - investments, Wells Fargo Advisors

Sylvia Guinan takes a holistic approach to managing her clients’ finances and navigating them through their life transitions. She offers them a hub, from which to address all aspects of their financial lives, from risk management and financial planning, to long-term care and charitable giving.

Her new book, “The Richness of Divorce: 7 Steps to Unwinding Your Marriage With Love and Grace,” empowers divorcing couples by demonstrating various financial models and goals.
Ms. Guinan said stress often arises from a lack of financial awareness. She tries to provide clarity, perspective, and a sense of optimism.

“People want to appear perfect, but it’s those imperfections that create bonds. People really want you to be who you really are,” Ms. Guinan said.

She has been spearheading the development of an elite-level practice management program for top advisers at her firm and has been honored as “Woman of the Year” by the Idea for Women Circle, an organization run by Anne Garland Enterprises.
